City night is calling we.
Crying in her sleep,
despair rising
over rooftops, we
shoot to kill
him dead and then
another mother weep
why we don’t treat life like the way we should?
Empty arms embracing, she
clutch an empty heart
revenge tell her
no more misery
found her baby gun
and empty clip in we
why we don’t treat life like the way we should?
I like this one 🙂
Thanks, love. I reworked this from one I originally put on the Just Me blog. Moving them over and changing that to a photo blog or killing it.
Ok. Don’t get rid just yet.
Okay. I was meant to be a “me” blog instead of just photos and poems and excerpts. I think I still haven’t figured out what goes there.
I’ll leave it.
That’s lovely and sad all at once.
Thank you.
Well said. Our values define us as a nation and chief among them is the value we place on human life, and until we value ALL human life we are sorely lacking as a nation.
I’ve had two cousins who were murdered. One was killed trying to protect his car from car thieves. We pretty much lost an entire generation.
Oh no, Bill, that’s tragic beyond my ability to express it. I’m so sorry. I don’t want to hear “that’s just the way it is” because that’s not the way it has to be. Change is always possible. It just takes applying the effort in the right place…like out citizens.
