Why We Don’t Treat Them?

City night is calling we.
Crying in her sleep,
despair rising
over rooftops, we
shoot to kill
him dead and then
another mother weep
why we don’t treat life like the way we should?

Empty arms embracing, she
clutch an empty heart
revenge tell her
no more misery
found her baby gun
and empty clip in we
why we don’t treat life like the way we should?

  1. Well said. Our values define us as a nation and chief among them is the value we place on human life, and until we value ALL human life we are sorely lacking as a nation.

      1. Oh no, Bill, that’s tragic beyond my ability to express it. I’m so sorry. I don’t want to hear “that’s just the way it is” because that’s not the way it has to be. Change is always possible. It just takes applying the effort in the right place…like out citizens.
